Intended Use
This dataset is intended to be used for training and evaluating automatic speech recognition (ASR) models. It may also be used for applications relating to computer-aided language learning (CALL) and language or heritage revitalisation.
ms-MY)This datasheet is for sps-corpus-5.0-2026-09-11 of the Mozilla Common Voice Spontaneous Speech dataset for Bahasa Malay [Bahasa Malay - ms-MY]. The dataset contains 1148 clips representing 6.19 hours of recorded speech (5.67 hours validated) from 24 speakers.
The dataset clips are categorised by transcription status and training-set assignment. The following tables summarise the distribution.

Ya, pada saya, cuaca di Malaysia mengalami perubahan sepanjang sepuluh tahun yang lalu. Jika sepuluh tahun yang lalu, kita tak rasa begitu panas. Namun, sekarang ini pada tahun dua puluh dua puluh empat ini, kita ter- rasa sangat bahangnya, dan satu-satu rumah, jika tidak memiliki penghawa dingin, penghuni dalam rumah tersebut akan berasa tidak selesa, panas, dan macam-macam boleh berlakulah. Bila panas, badan berpeluh, tak selesa, anak-anak pun boleh meragam, dan ibu bapa juga boleh jadi nak marah. Dia berbeza sangat berbanding tahun- sepuluh tahun yang lalu. Kalau sepuluh tahun yang lalu, tak perlu ada penghawa dingin pun tak mengapa. Kipas yang berkelajuan tinggi sudah cukup. Namun kini, sudah tidak lagi. Penghawa dingin itu seolah-olah wajib ada di dalam rumah.
Tokoh yang saya sangat gemari ialah tokoh Mat Kilau, kerana tokoh Mat Kilau ini adalah seorang yang pahlawan, yang kuat mempertahankan negara, bangsa dan juga agama.
Pegawai yang dipilih kepada komuniti perlulah menunaikan tanggungjawab mereka dengan memberi perhatian kepada kepada masalah-masalah yang dihadapi dalam komuniti, contohnya kekurangan bilangan sekolah. Seandainya dalam satu komuniti itu mempunyai ramai kanak-kanak ataupun pelajar yang perlu pergi ke sekolah, mereka perlulah menubuhkan lagi sekolah di kawasan tersebut bagi memenuhi keperluan komuniti tersebut. Itu adalah contoh.
Antara hidangan kegemaran saya yang saya suka masak dan sediakan adalah ketika hari raya, iaitu kek lapis. Antara bahan-bahan kek lapis adalah menggunakan butter, gula, susu pekat, esen vanila dan telur.
Dari segi guru atau mentor yang membentuk kehidupan saya, seperti guru saya yang memberi semangat untuk saya meneruskan perjuangan dari segi pendidikan dan juga dari segi karier saya.

non-allowed-script - transcription contains characters from a writing system not associated with the language
mixed-script-words - a single word contains characters from multiple writing systems
mixed-script-transcription - transcription spans multiple writing systems, but each word consistently uses only one
