The Palula Literature Corpus is a collection of literary texts written in Palula, a critically under-resourced Indo-Aryan language spoken primarily in the Chitral region of northern Pakistan. The corpus brings together Palula literary content to support the preservation, documentation, and computational study of the language. The dataset provides valuable textual resources for researchers working in linguistics, natural language processing (NLP), digital humanities, language documentation, and cultural preservation. It can support the development and evaluation of language technologies such as text classification, language modeling, machine translation, information retrieval, tokenization, and other NLP applications.

Palula (also known as Phalura) is a Dardic language of the Indo-Aryan family, spoken mainly in the Chitral District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, particularly in the Biori and Ashret valleys along the Chitral (Kunar) River, with a small number of speakers also found in adjoining areas. It is one of several minority languages of the Hindukush region and has historically been a primarily oral, unwritten language, making documentation and speech technology resources especially valuable for its study and preservation.
