The annotations are in Bahasa Indonesia
The data was collected from various cultural places and activities, including cultural events, traditional markets, cultural buildings, historical buildings and museums, and restaurants. Most of the photographs were taken in Yogyakarta and East Java, Indonesia. The photographs were taken from a combination of wide and close-up viewpoints, depending on the object and situation. Among the different types of cultural objects, food makes up the largest portion of the dataset because it is commonly found in everyday life and is easy to document. Food is also a cultural product that continues to develop through acculturation, adaptation, and modification, making it an important part of cultural diversity.
The objects in the photographs are unique because they represent different aspects of Indonesian culture, including traditional clothing, cultural objects, food, arts, ornaments, cultural buildings, and historical places. These objects are important because they show the diversity of local traditions and how culture is preserved and developed over time.
Around 119 images
The dataset has several limitations. First, the cultural objects are mainly limited to food, traditional clothing, cultural objects, arts, ornaments, cultural buildings, and historical places found in Yogyakarta and East Java. Second, the environmental and social conditions are mostly limited to cultural events, traditional markets, museums, restaurants, and cultural or historical sites, so they may not represent all cultural settings in Indonesia. Third, the language found on signs and boards is mostly Indonesian, with limited examples of local languages or other languages. The dataset also contains more photographs of food and commonly encountered cultural objects because they are easier to find and document in everyday life.
